In 24.12.2013 the JAAG provide meeting in Tbilisi, in hotel “Courtyard Marriott Tbilisi” with state and private organizations which provide testing of automobiles inspection.

During the there was discussed the issues about the problems in the sphere of transport testing and their reasons. The foregoing meeting was attended by the state organizations: representatives of transport administration, Head of service agency, Head of Accreditation center, Head of Metro logical institute, representatives of state chancellery. From the private sector was represented all the organizations of transport inspection and journalists.

After the discussing the important issues during the meeting, there was presented the new trial electronic program, through which there must be provided the working program the inspection organs and providing the transparency. There was expressed the various opinions about the presented program.

 

 

In 24.11.2013 JAAG, in the Hotel “Ambasadori” was implemented the training for the inspection bodies, which provide the testing of automobiles, about the validity of automobiles for the roads. The experts explained the international standard according of which there must be provided the validity of automobile.

SST ISO/IEC 17020:2010 “General Criteria for Inspection for various types of activities”.

We hereby declare that according the current condition in Georgia the testing of Automobiles is provided only for Lorry and passenger cars which provide transportation of 10 and more passengers. Testing in not provided for cars less than 10 persons. State plans to start testing of all types of transport from the 1st-March 2015.

Training was attended by all organizations in Georgia, who provide inspection of auto transport.  The topic of training caused the great interest and expressed the hopes that in future the specialists will be trained for these issues.

For the great interest from private and state organization JAAG mentioned that all the persons/organizations interested for these issues provide assistance and high quality service.

 

 

“JICA Alumni association of Georgia” 30.07.2013 has organized the seminar of topics “Road Safety of Georgia” seminar was read by Expert Mr. Ucha Kasaburi. Seminar was attended from the Transport Administration and Road Arrangement of Georgia, there was discussed issues which is very important for the development of Georgian State. Departments revised the issues and outlined the future ways of action. Was expressed the great satisfaction for the ”JICA Alumni Association of Georgia, many people get information about the association and their activity, was expressed interested about the future cooperation with program “JICA Alumni Association of Georgia” and “JICA”.

 

JAAG delegation attended International Seminar in Armenia

A delegation of JICA Alumni Association of Georgia (JAAG) visited Armenia on October 10-13, 2013. The purpose of the visit, organized by JICA Armenian Alumni Association, was sharing experience and knowledge among JICA alumni of two neighboring countries.

On Friday, October 11, the Georgian delegation (Mr. Archil Tkeshelashvili /JAAG President and co-founder/, Mr. Irakli Jeiranashvili /JAAG co-founder/, Mr. Gocha Jobava /JAAG member/ and Mr. Zura Giashvili /JAAG member/) visited Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE). After hospitable welcome from the members of JICA Armenian Alumni Association and students of the mentioned university, the meeting was held at the meeting room of the ASUE.

The International Seminar “JICA’s Strategy ’Promoting development partnerships’ and its implementation in Armenia and Georgia” was opened by vice-rector of ASUE Mr. Gagik Vardanyan. The President of JICA Armenian Alumni Association Mr. Levon Movsesyan and the President of JAAG Mr. Archil Tkeshelashvili made reports for the participants of the seminar.

Later on, representative of JICA Armenia Liaison Office Ms. Ruzan Khojikyan made presentation of JICA funded projects and activities in Armenia. During the meeting the participants had opportunity to discuss current problematic issues faced by their respective countries, share experience and outline actions for future cooperation and developing partnership.

Thanks to well scheduled and organized agenda of JICA Armenian Alumni Association, the Georgian delegation had opportunity to visit cultural sights of the country - Echmiadzin, Noravank, Amaghu river gorge, as well as the capital of the country – Yerevan.

The representatives of two Associations agreed to maintain close relations and continue partnership in the future.
